maf fuse keeps blowing

Default maf fuse keeps blowing

My car just started doing this. As soon as i put in a new fuse, it blows. I put another fuse in with the hood popped an hit the throttle an it blew. What do i need to be looking for?

interesting..wondering if youve possibly got a internally shorted maf...anyway you can swap it out with a test one from a friends car to actually rule out a bad maf?

What fuse is it blowing? there isn't a MAF specific fuse that i know of.

it could be a wire going to the maf thats shorting out, or the maf itself is shorted. Try unplugging the MAF, install a new fuse and see if the fuse still blows.

I believe the fuse may also control the O2s. Could be an O2 shorting or grounding?

Open the underhood fuse block up. Theres a fuse called ENG SEN (dont quote me) it's probably the one thats blown. amirite?

Do you have long tubes? Your headers have probably melted the insulation on the O2 heater circuit wiring and shorted it to ground causing the fuse to blow. Jack the car up and trace your wiring. Don't forget to check the rear O2's as well. The rears may be rubbing up against the transmission crossmember.
