Looking to get back into a Camaro, few questions
So ideally I'd like a 01-02 Z28 or SS 6 speed. I'd possibly get another 2000.
*I know it all depends on if I can find the right deal*
But, generally speaking.
Would it be cheaper just to buy the Z28/SS with a 6 speed?
Or perhaps an automatic Z28/SS and then swap it to 6 speed.
Or even a 99-02 V6, and do a 5.3/5.7/6.0 and 6 speed swap?
Or a roller and do a swap (I suppose it would depend on how intact the car would be)

Searching for a roller myself, i'm starting to think it would be better to get a v6 with a blown head gasket etc. Then sell the old engine/trans for like $300-$500.
You should be able to find one for around $500-1500. Saw a 99 v6 with 165k no problems for $1500 locally. You will likely be changing the suspension anyway, a stock ls1 k-member can be had pretty cheap. Rear-end wise do whatever you want.
