Default My story with Dana S60

Hi , I'm running Dana S60 with 3.54 ratio and yeah i love it but ! ! ! there's issue , When i ordered the rearend , there was attached on it ( no oil inside ) , I fill 4 liters inside and everything looks good here . . .

After months i put the car on the rolls to tune the car , Everything is good here ...

Car pulled over 1000RWHP , Before the race i tested the car with first stage and didn't used the second stage yet , I feel like someone holding the car a little bit after that we went to the race , I jumped and hit the first stage from 60MPH roll tires are mickey thompson 315/17 15PSI , then i shifted to 4 gear and sprayed the both stages after that while i activated the second stage i see the RPM went to 7000 and car like a stop , We through the clutch blow , We take off the clutch and it's RXT new from the box to car and it looking like a new , I took off the Dana S60 cover and see there's no oil inside also the isn't leaking !!!

I found something broken inside the Dana ?

How much this will cost to fix ? who sells parts for the Dana 60 ?

Thanks

if you ran it out of oil you probably wiped out most if not all of the bearings and the ring gear. The oil had to go somewhere it cant just disappear.

The ring and gear looks in a good condition , What's the broken part that shows on the picture ?

Based on the position of the lock tab the the adjuster nut has moved and the carrier bearing is wiped out.
You will need to see if the adjuster nut has been damaged, if so it is not an easy fix, if anything is left to fix. Pull it apart and see what damage there is.

That part by the right side would be part of the carrier or posi. Usually these run $400-1000 depending on what kind they are. I would replace the carrier bearings and pinion bearings as well.
