Ground Control Coilovers - Same for Koni vs. DeCarbon?
I'm getting beat up driving my car lately, switching back to stock springs/shocks for a while. I have GC coilovers on my front Koni's, wondering if I can use them on my stock shocks. I know the perch from my stock shocks will fit on a Koni shock, is there anything different between the design for the coilover kit between stock and koni?
thinking of running a 350# spring rate and a hair of a drop so it's not stock 4x4 height

I've removed them before, I put a thin layer of grease inside the sleeves so they wouldn't seize to the body. I have 600# springs on the front Koni's, and the adjusters are both frozen on one of the highest settings. One of the threads may be screwed up also (I put an extra nut on top of it) so if I take them apart I don't know if I'll be able to salvage it.
I plan on keeping the Koni's in the rear. I got a set of 10k mile front DeCarbons for next to nothing, and I honestly don't have $200 for a set of front Bilsteins right now. I have BMR spings out back so possibly selling those and the Coilover/Koni setup as is. If I can use the coilovers maybe I'll keep them and eventually buy a new set of Koni's someday.

I've got a set of Bilsteins with the Ground Control Adjusters sitting around at home somewhere...not in the best of shape looks-wise, but are still functional (at least they were when I took them off a few years ago). Doesn't sound like you are in any position to buy them, but just throwing that out there. They certainly aren't doing me any good at the moment.

Do you want to stay with the adjusters or a fixed ride height? I have the SLP/Bilstein/Eibach and my setup seems pretty comfortable. That could be an option and it doesn't lower it too much either.

thanks guys, I really don't have the cash for either option though. I've had the slp bilstein/eibach combo, I thought it was a pretty nice middle of the road setup. I would like to get front Koni's again in the future with stranos or stock springs, but with the adjusters broken I really can't change to a different spring or adjust it for a smoother ride, so stockers it is for now.
I'll try emailing GC but haven't heard the best things about their customer service
