Default L96 or LY6 and 6L80

Will a 6L80 from a 2011 Sierra 1500 work behind a 2011 L96 6.0 L from a Sierra 2500. The Sierra 2500 uses a 6L90. I have a 1941 Chev with 1996 LT1 and 700R4. I'll have enough trouble fitting a 6L80 in, let alone a 6L90.

Yes it will work, I ended up buying a 6l90 for my swap because there much easier to find in 2wd.

Yes, it will bolt up to either and work with out a retune. The 6l80/90 are pretty much the same size though 90 is longer by alittle. You'll have just as much trouble fitting the 80 as the 90!!!
