Default Ysi Z06

700 miles on the new motor.

Livernois 429 LSX
PRC 285CC heads
Pat G custom cam
ECS Ysi

Boost would peak at 10psi then drop to 4 past 6k rpms. Looked like the belt lost all tension and would just skip.

I need to get that fixed. Right now the tensioner has about 1/4" of play before it runs out. I have a 89 7/8" belt on it, next size down is 88 3/8" and wouldn't fit. Probably move on to a direct drive over winter.

Still made decent power. Had a spark plug wire almost melted through causing a miss which is some of the jumping around. Timing was jumping all over because of that.

914rwhp, 91 octane and meth

Yah. Had belt slip issues so did a Dallas Performance direct drive. Should be back on the dyno this week. Got a few other issues ironed out and a RX performance catchcan on it. Runs great overall. Been snowing the past 3 days so just hoping to find a day or two when it is clear to sneak over to the dyno.

Very nice. You'll **** yourself with the difference in boost with the direct drive. Quick word of advice, get yourself a Gates HD green belt, it will last a lot longer than a standard belt.

I had a 2.6" blower and 8" crank with a 8 rib and ZERO issues on my YSi. What pulley combo are you running?

Any pics of the belt wrap set up? I have a YSI on my camaro with a 7.8 crank and 2.95 and only make 7 psi by 6k

Sick build man good luck with the next dyno that thing will be an animal

But From the look of the Graph its making around high 700whp or low 800whp after 6000rpm I think if the Smoothing was set at 5 numbers will be different and hitting the rev limiter at 7000rpm jumped the numbers too...

None the less badass car and will easily make 950-1000rwhp with more boost and retune.

2.85" upper and a stock size 7.25" lower. Need to get a bigger crank pulley on it, but for now this works. I have a 53 1/8" belt but the next size down is a 52". The 53 1/8" is a bit too long but it will work for now. They don't make a green belt in a size I could use. Closest is a 51.5" and I tried, there was no way that was fitting.

For now this should work fine. Next time I pull stuff apart I'll put on an 8" crank pulley just for better belt fitment.

The scale is different on the other side. That is the torque scale. The HP scale is shifted by 100 so add 100 to both your numbers.

You can't go buy those numbers since it's getting them from the spikes on the graph.

You have to take the numbers before the graph went crazy.

regardless the DP direct drive will take care of all the slip issues and that YSi will make some power!

I know. The 914 is that last little spike. Removing that and it made 902-903 depending on the pull.

Still can't get the right size belt. Also need to figure out if the PRC .650 springs are enough for what I'm doing.

The springs depend on your cam lobe, lift, and valve weight.

from what I have seen they have been making similar power. Supposedly there is less parasitic loss. I dont think they have to spin as fast. It was my belief it has a step up similar to a d1 .

LXL, LXL .650 lift. PRC LS7 heads with TI intake and SS exhaust. 2.25 1.65 I think.

Same lobes/cam that Arun suggested to me, so you guys up there should have experience with it.

Ti intake, stock rocker-no issues what so ever. 8000 rpm all day if you wanted to do.

Made a few passes. High RPM stuff cleared up. Wasn't a valve issues which was good, must have been belt like I suggested. Still have some slip but getting better.

Looking good!!! I would start looking into a bigger blower though. That is a lot of engine to feed. A f2 would be real nice! All though I have a huge love for the ysi. I'm currently doing a 408 for a buddy, that with the ysi Should crack 1000whp no problems as his old 364 did 915 with a 8" lower and 3" upper at just under 20 lbs.

More than enough blower for me. Just my street car to drive to work with.

I really need an 8" lower. The 7.25" lower is killing me.
