driveshaft length

driveshaft length say I get a direct bolt-in rear. In theory the driveshaft should be the same length right?

in theory.
My buddy has an old drive shaft of mine and it was too long, wouldn't fit. was too long by a hair. but fit prefect in mine. Both have the same setup.
I would measure it to make sure it fits. It's VERY easy to do and this way you get a prefect fitting driveshaft.
