I have a 78 Camaro front clip and I am going to replace the LT1 with a 2000 LS1. The only area that I am concerned with is the motor mounts. I had the Cross member notched and I have car Shops 1"set back plates. Will the clamshell mounts work?

The Clam Shell mounts still have the same bolt pattern on bolting to the engine.. so yes.. you might (?) have issue or areas that might contact something (as the Clamshell are larger than early style engine mounts).. but you should be able to work around them.
