370 truck motor
I'm currently assembling a new truck motor for my 87 dodge ram 150
LQ4 bored to a 370
TSP 58cc ported 5.3 heads
LS2 rods
Ls6 Intake
85mm TB
Pacesetter Lt's
.053 mls head gasket
LS7 Lifters
Flat tops with valve reliefs.
Not to sure on a cam yet. 233/239 or a ms3
Mated up to a t56.
anyone had an experience with a motor build similar to this?

I'm just wanting to run these heads and intake since I already had them laying around from my last motor.
I was just unsure about a camshaft. I used to run a 233/239 as a dd and it wasn't to crazy to drive.
I know camshaft technology has progressed pretty far since these cams were released.

got an eps 226-230, 598-600, 113+4 for $325 shipped which i am sure would do good on the combo among other cams.
whatever you decide, a tbss/nnbs intake flows better than the ls6 intake. in addition, you can get a tbss/nnbs intake set-up for less than youll get for your ls6 intake set-up if you sell it. some to think about....hmmm....
good luck with your project, rob

What would be the advantage of going with the TBSS intake over the LS6?
How much more do they flow?
Would it be realistic to say I could trade my entire LS6 setup for a TBSS setup or would it be worth it to just sell it then buy the other setup.
I would probably snag that cam up from you but gotta save up for Christmas shopping..urg

Ah ok. I do appreciate the price but I cant do it at the moment.
Thanks for your input though!
Will I run into an injector size issue with going to the tbss/nbss intake setup?
I know the LS6 injectors are 28.8's and they worked fine on my h/c/i ls1.
