I can't suggest a converter, but I know why no one else has responded so far:
* There are dozens if not hundreds of threads here on the same question, including very recent ones.
* You didn't specify your driving, is it 90% strip or 90% street. That sounds like a barely streetable cam.

Here is a similar recent thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...er-choice.html

(I suspect that TH400 and 4L80E are not the same, but they are close.)

Several sponsors recently ran sales and might still give you their sale price.
Sponsors include Yank, Revmax, FTI and Circle D. I have never read of a disappointment with any of them. A good converter makes a huge difference, so be sure to get a good one.
With your cam, you will likely be looking at a 3600 or 4000 stall.

What he said about repetitive threads... Anyways. Most will suggest what company they run, so it's mainly a personal preference when asking on here what to get. Any converter you get from a reputable shop will be worth the money. My personal preference is FTI, I have a th400 also and just happen to run the same cam, very streetable btw.

I run a yank ss4000 and love it, but PTC makes a good converter also I have had both the difference is the yank feels tighter. PTC makes a street and a super street. The street drives like my ss4000 but its about a 3200 and the super street feels looser than my ss4000 and its about a 4000 (I would not use a super street on a dd). A Yank ss4000 is over 700 and the PTC was less than 400, both are good converters but like everything else its all about your budget.
