you are going to have to be a bit more specific than that and even then its just educated guessing...

^^start saving now...anything slightly over stock power and a few hot laps=cooked (speaking from personal experience of course).

thats bull ****... nothing is set in stone. i got my car with 65k miles on it. i beat the **** outta it for 20k miles on stock power. and when i say beat the **** i mean i beat the **** outta it... see i bought a gm warranty and was determined to get the trans replaced in that 3 years. i never did... then i put heads and cam and beat the **** outta it for 10k miles when the warranty expired... then i put a 3800 stall converter/bigger cam 100 shot of nitrous and beat the **** outta it for another 5k miles. i killed the ls1 but trans was still good. we put it in my buddies car and he beat the **** outta it with his 383 for 500 miles and we finally thought we killed it cause it lost 1st gear... turns out the 1-2 shift solenoid died but the trans was rebuilt anyways at that time... the input shaft was loose and the 3-4 clutches were near gone, but **** that thing still wasnt dead and still woulda gave more if only the solenoid was replaced.. no one gives the 4l60e credit. i musta had 150-200 runs on that trans at the track as well probably way more then that, atleast 100 of those passes on slicks no less and 20-25 on the juice, maybe more....

could it go out with stockish power? sure... no doubt gm replaces a few trannies under warranty... everything breaks.

As long as you maintain it with frequent oil changes and keep it cool you'll be ok. Heat and rpms are the main killer of these transmissions.

Why destroy a good 64k trans and as far as mods not much just bought the car and I am still deployed so the modding will start in Feb when I return.
I will keep everyone updated but for now its a trans and stall going to be waiting for me to install.

If you have the funds...it is smart to set the original aside for resale.

THANK YOU for your service
