Default Jakes 4l80e and yank py3400. Do I need to install spring?

So yeah we are doing the install and the converter comes with a little red spring and instructions for installing it in the 4l80e Converter Limit Valve. Do I need to do this on a lv 5 Jakes 4L80e or is this more a step for stock 4l80e's

Thanks for any help.

There is no need to use the spring. We have already upgraded the boost valve and spring. The pressure is right where we want it. I hope you enjoy your products.
