2 step and pull your timing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down and pour fuel to it.
I believe there is a guy here on the board testing a product that you program the amount of timing you want pulled and will do this for you while on the 2-step so you don't have to mess with your main timing table.

I used the msd but did no tuning what so ever for it and can build full boost with it set to 3500rpm within about 5-8 seconds.
This is on a rearmount stock ls1 with a 76/85mm t6 frame turbo.....I know others said it needs to be rich but mine reads in the 16.00 range while on the 2-step and spools pretty damn fast and holds it. No clue if its right or what kind of timing is going on there but it works.

I just went off their corvette based instructions, and pulled up a wiring diagram for my car off ls1tech. I would suggest the same. You also might have to buy a clutch switch to activcate it which shouldnt be a big deal.
If you try the timing trick using your IAT sensor the boost should come on alot quicker. I am using two ebay 76's and they spool the instant I am on the 2-step with the timing pulled.

Remember it's an oxygen sensor not a fuel sensor.
Ren is the guy I was talking about, but I thought he was using an outside "box" to pull the timing and not the IAT cells.

only thing I am using out side the box is a button that cuts signal to the iat, I am pulling the max 25* of advance that hp tuners allows

If you can, richen up the ratio when on the 2 step. Your turbines will thank you. You are throwing an awful lot of energy into them.
I have this on my Audi. It retards up to 60* BTDC and I'm targeting an A/F of 10:1. I can make 28psi with a GT30R in about 1 second on a 2.3L engine @ 6000rpm.

My set up is putting as much fuel as it is able to. It is around 99%duty cycle using 2 walbros. Plus the wideband o2's are not reading accuratley while the 2 step is activated.
