Default Strut Tower Star Bolts

Anybody got a part number for these? Before that, would they work to replace all the strut tower bolts with these? Looking o tidy up the engine bay.

I would probably just head down to the dealership with one and they can find it, or you can take it to a local ace hardware store and match up the bolts. You might not be able to get the same head tho.

Slamminjim: I see your point about the location of the post but this is the reason why websites like these are dying, people have honest questions and all people do on here is flame on them for something so little. Give some advice

Sorry Darrell if I came across as a jerk.
Idk if you can swap them all to the torx style bolt
Or not. I would hit up a wrecking yard to get some.
Good luck and Merry Christmas.

I switched them to a proper grade hex from the auto parts store. He makes service easier too!

Take one with you to "Lowes" or any "Tractor supply" And match it up.

They both carry a huge selection of specialty bolts, including the ones used for the strut tower.

The numbers for those bolts are no longer any good.

I forget what it was but they were used in this location for some good reason.

LOL...
Yeah...
unfortunately, every single Bolt on the vehicle was part of an engineering plan....
theres an actual real reason for every single choice in bolts on the vehicle...
some are for structure, some are for looks, some are reasons that dont make any sense to us...

I believe they were originally made to be Button Head Hex for space reasons...theres nothing structurally special about them or any reason for looks..

All focus on yourself, the end user. In reality this isn't about you, its about a manufacturer that must produce a product efficiently. One big advantage for star bolts is they are easily held and installed by a robotic arm. Thinking outside the box this morning aren't we gentlemen.

I think it had something to do with clearance to the brake stuff and they did both sides to keep it all the same. My car is currently acting as a shelf in my shop so I can't pop the hood for a look.

Yes, Torx bolts can conveniently be held by magnetic assembly tools.

I don't get it. My driver side had those annoying torx bolts but the passenger side was hex, so...

They are now both hex so I can actually get to it without screwing around with the master cylinder.
