20k spent on what? royal purple oil changes? still has a 10 bolt and what he describes as a stock 4l60 with a shift kit. what is a 19 year old gonna do with this except make a bunch of stupid "what is wrong with this car" posts in 2 weeks when he blows it up.

The description isnt bad, the guy knows whats done to the car and seems to be honest about it. He is probably relaying info that other people told him. Maybe the rear end has a aftermarket posi unit in it, not just a ring and pinion gear set, and the installer/seller told him it was good to 650hp. The trans seems to be the biggest issue, we all know how those go. I would be more worried about it then the rear end.
Its mail order tuned, thats why it has no dyno sheets. Thats probably the biggest red flag on a forced induction car like this. Hopefully pcmforless really ran it on the rich side in this case. Would also like to know if the car has a A/F gauge, and how long he has driven it with that tune. Seems like the fuel system has been gone through. I know nothing about racetronix, but atleast its not a stock pump lol.
I think the biggest reasons why I wouldnt buy it is the price/auto tranny/paint. Id go grab a 6 speed LS1 that hasnt been molested to bad.
If he is looking for a reliable daily driver, he is far from it. It sounds like this car recently "blew up". trans at 122k and motor at 125k.
To even consider buying this car, he needs to know it needs another 1000-1500$ in dyno tuning and possibly new parts like o2 sensors and plugs.
In this price range your better off with a C4 vette or a Ls1 fbody, look for one with the least amount of **** done to it. Dealing with someone elses half-*** jobs is not fun.

seen this car on craigslist too, use to be put up as a show car with 650hp and yadda yadda yadda. Paint job is hideous, sounds like he just dumped a whole lot of money into the engine, left everything else pretty much stock. 10 secs with a stock suspension haha, yeah okay...

Take it from a 19 year old that has enough trouble dealing with a basically stock 4th gen.... Don't even let him look at that thing.
