Default Poly TQ arm bushing install.......in pics

I have said it before and I will say it again......after 12 yrs......rubber in our cars turns to mush......no different for all the rubber in the suspension

the last piece in my suspension that is rubber was the TQ arm bushing.......not only old age but constant exposure to oil grease and other elements did it in

Energy suspension has 2 different P/Ns for the TQ arm bushings........1 for TQ arm lips that face towards the driveshaft......1 for the other way...of course...mine faced away

Their bushing is a 1 size fits all 3rd-4th gen TQ arms...and the design was changed somewhere in the production run.....the difference is not the TQ arm........ but the bushing mount......... the mount changed but the ES bushing did not......dont worry......just a little trimming is all it needs to work

it was about 13$ from summit

follow along

this is for auto tranny guys........dont have a clue about you manual guys

remove TQ arm......the bolts and nuts are 21mm.........remove driveshaft......4 bolts are 7/16.......remove crossmember..........4 ...15mm bolts.......remove tranny tailhousing......6....15mm bolts.......you may be able to do it without removal but its alot easier with it removed.....good time to inspect your tranny mount......it its the old stock rubber..........you will find it split and nasty.......the tranny tailhousing does have a gasket......i ordered one from the dealer but it still has not come in......so be forewarned about it

the TQ arm mount is held in with 3......15mm bolts nuts

you could be really **** and put in a new rear bushing and rear seal as well as the new front gasket in the tailshaft housing....but did not have time for it this go round
