4L80E/Aftermarket Shifter
I'm finally biting the bullet and getting a built 80 for the car... I'll be running a transbrake, but my stock shifter (I don't know if this is a common issue or not) will run from 1st to neutral w/o thinking twice... Do the after market shifters have a lock out from preventing this from happening? What shifters are you guys running? I know the TCI Outlaw has been mentioned a few times, but looking for more input and any pictures of a clean install would be helpful!

Hurst quarter stick all the way IMO. It's got lockouts for reverse and park. The thing people complain about with them though is you have to pull the lever on the 2-3 shift. That's fine by me though, 90% of the time I'm straight enough to go to 3rd and not have to lift. It also will fit in your factory shift console, I may even know someone who makes a bracket that bolts the shifter in place of your old one..
