My new project. 01 WS6
I found this WS6 for real cheap so i picked it up. Its an 01 with a lot of miles so it needs work.
The stripes and all the red is not my style so it had to go.
Also pulled the bra off.
Pulled the seats out to vacuum and shampoo the carpet.
Also had this annoying noise making stuff in the trunk which is for sale if anyone wants it?
The rear seal was leaking so i pulled it apart and found this.
Thats the progress i made this weekend. The front suspension needs a little work and ive got to get the rear back together before it will be drivable again. The car also came with its original wheels which i think im going to put on my SOM.

The guy must have been a chain smoker. The poor car stunk and had cigarette ash all over. The plans for now is to finish the cleanup get the rear back together, replace some front suspension parts, do a much needed tune up and drive it for now. I may do bolts on if I can get the wheels and system sold. (I have a set of c6 zo6s on my som that are going on this one.) for long term plans I have a set of ls6 heads and a spare block I'm going to slowly start working on getting together to drop in.

huh? with the system in the back where did the guy put the T-tops?
looks like he cared more about that system than the rest of the car... sad.
Looks like its now in much better hands now though!

Got the car back together and rolling, gave it a good wash and took it in to get the wheels swapped back to stock. I still have a couple small things ill need to address but now i feel like i can drive it without getting laughed at to much.
Trans mount needs replaced.

I got the car for 4500 with both sets of wheels. I plan to sell the torque thrusts and the stereo system so i figure after its all said and done ill be into it for around 3800. I still need to buff and wax it and fix a spot on the rear quarter but it looks a lot better now. My next plans are to change out the transmission mount and find a decent exhaust then im going to work on the suspension.

Huge improvement (those red stripes were nasty!). I kinda liked the TT wheels (would have been better in gunmetal grey, instead of black). Nice to see the car is getting the care it deserves (the former owner sure screwed it up). I'll be interested in seeing your future improvements.
