Got some free stuff and LSX block warrantied
I waited till I got everything before making a post but here it goes.
Broke my old style LSX block at the end of last year. Had 15 passes on it and maybe 5 dyno pulls as well. Block broke right down number 4 cylinder from top to bottom. Thought the head gasket was gone but it ended up being the block instead. I was very disappointed and called GM high performance. Told them the deal and they asked for some info to verify that it was real. Few weeks goes by over the christmas holidays and they call me back. (I was in no way demanding anything) They said if I paid for the shipping and handling to the dealership of my choice that they would warranty the old style block. I did so and paid 3xx dollars to get it to my dealer. Switched out old style for new style and got it back to my engine guy. At that point we found that the billet rods and Diamond pistons were not holding up very well in the pin area and decided to get new ones. Switched to GRP aluminum over Oliver billet. I called my buddy Ron Shearer over at Wiseco Pistons and ordered up a new set of beefer pistons. I got them today with a receipt that says it was paid in full already. I didn't pay for it, so I called Ron and he said they were hooking me up. Car went 5.07@144 with a cracked block. I got a best 60ft of 1.17 and was not on that pass. I am shooting for some upper 4s here early in the season.
This is the first time anyone has giving me anything for my car. I am very appreciative of both Wiseco and GMHP. Thank you
I have since decided to go with a smaller bore with the new block and also hard block it this time as well. Need to go 150+mph. Car only has a few passes from the end of last year on it. We will have maybe 1 weekend before the 10K$ at Denton to practice.

When the car went 5.07 it was at 3485lbs. While I was waiting on the motor issues, I decided to lighten the car as much as I possible could. It now weighs 3325. This should help out in my 60ft and overall ET.
X275 rules say 3350 race weight for my setup. So once I get it to the track, we will find out if I need to just add the weight to the front or not. I have a TH400 so the overall gear ratio of 9.xx is a bugger on wheel stands. So I have put a ton of weight out on the nose to keep it down.
