Default Need help removing Trans Am bumper cover.

I'm posting in this section because if any people would be familiar with removing the front bumper it would be the FI crowd mounting a FMIC.

So I removed all of the plastic under the front bumper, removed the 3 pins on the under side, removed the top 3 pins as well as the the bolt on either side near the headlights.

What else do I need to remove? Do I need to remove the wheel well plastic as well?

Thanks guys. Pics would be great.

there are bolts along side sides of the bumper, on the inside, 10mm, that tie it to the front qtr panels.

How do you get to them? Are they accesible by removing the wheelwell plastic?

Take out the splash guards and youll probably need a u joint style socket to get easy access to them. I think theres also a bolt on the inside of the fender facing forward so you may have to pull your battery and/or fuse boxes.

there is a small screw by the headlight also. The headlights will have to be up to see it.

Honestly I don't know, but it's no slouch. My guestimate would be 480/425 and it's certainly fun and honestly, I really don't need more power, who the hell am I kidding, we all need more power.

I think I enjoy working on the car as much as I do driving it. It's my time to be in the garage and 'tinker' so I figured a Procharger with a front mount would be a good project that I could tackle myself. I debated the whole bigger cubes vs. FI (and that was a debate between turbo and Procharger) but realized that a bigger motor was just something I didn't want to tackle myself at this time.

I'm sure that I'm not going to be content with high 500s power wise as I'll be pushing roughly 8-10psi to get there, so I know one day I'll have to go with a forged shortblock to bump the boost up to 14-15psi.

But for now.... I've been slowly searching the for sale adds, upgrading parts, and doing the work myself step by step. I really am not ready to do the FMIC at this point and I'd rather drive the car for a little while longer to get the VE table dialed in before I do the swap. Hell, maybe I'll toss it on a dyno prior to just to see where I'm at.
