Default With all the adjustable rocker talk

How come no one uses the Comp Pro-Magnum series rockers? All the vendors sell these with guide plates for $459 bucks. Seems like a economical, adjustable, and rebuildable solution for many. There offered in 1.75 or 1.85 ratios. I don't think the 1.75 would increase valve lift enough to hurt anything unless you were very close on P/V to start with. I've used the Pro Mags in my LT-1, and they were great rockers. Anyone have any feed back as to why more people don't use these?

I do use them, some won't on account of the 1.75 or 1.85 ratio chioces instead of the 1.7 for the stock rockers. Also they are stud mounted with a rather small 8mm stud
instead of being shaft mounted. They have been used on some
big inch motors and I have not heard of any problems so far.If you pick your cam profile with these rocker ratios in mind I don't see why they would not work well.

I have them! They, Comp Cams, make a good piece! I have used the Pro Magnum roller rockers on several 400ci small blocks in the past. This is my first LS1, but I don't see any problem arising from the small stud as long as valve spring pressures are reasonable.
