like the title says, swapping a carbed ls1 into my 79 vette and cant decide on trannys mainly due to lack of knowledge on both. never driven a t350 but my vette came to me as a 383 stoker with a 700r4 so i had some driving time with that and didnt find any issues with it. leaning more towords the 700r4 due to the vette was already previously utilizing one before i sold the motor and tranny setup. motor is mostly a stock ls1 with longtubes, edlebrock performer prm intake, unkown carb at the moment but id prefer a more aggressive one, edlebrock 2015 cam. id also want a small stall in the 2200-2600 range and theres a good chance this car will be getting the bottle after its break in.

th350 is cheaper but the 700r4 will pay for its self in fuel milage less engine wear
