Battery Died While Reflashing, Now PCM Is Locked
While doing a reflash on my 2002 Trans Am with an LS3 engine (still using LS1 PCM) the battery died in the car. Which caused the flash to fail which at the time I figured was no good, I just didnt know how bad it was going to be! I did the PCM recovery to get the PCM working again but now for some reason everytime I try to reflash It fails to unlock the PCM. I can use alt keys and it might unlock it every couple of cycles that it tries but it will imediately re-arm and cause the bootloader to fail. I have tried unhooking the battery multiple times with no luck. Is there anything I can do or have I fried my PCM?
Thanks,
Patrick

Did you try to write the complete tune instead only the calibration?
If you can't do a complete overwrite, try contacting support.
You may need to send the PCM for recovery service, it can be repaired just fine.

How hard is it to change my VIN number and everything over to a new PCM?
Where's the best/quickest place to locate one?
I assume I will need another VIN License as well..
Man I sure feel stupid for not checking my battery before trying to flash my car.

you are more than likely gonna have to send your pcm out or get another one. When it gets interupted I.E. computer or car batt. dies. it basically erases everything from your pcm.

Same thing happened to me using my diablo, bought a new batt, and a sponsor commented on my thread. It fried mine. Got it repaired for $60 bucks. Awesome service and faster then it was suppose to show up.
If you want it's in the thread I started, you can look up the name of the guys.
