Default Kooks.. Need longer oil filter, part#?

Guys does anyone run a longer oil filter? I want to run a longer oil filter as it's a pain trying to get the oil filter on/off. My kooks headers are taking up some valuable space where my hands use to go. I'd like to run a Mobil 1 oil filter if they make one that is longer, thanks Fred

I run the longer Filter with my kooks, I believe the filter is part # M1-206 , also look at the K&N Filters they have a nut on the top of them so you can take it off with just a ratchet or a wrench

Why not just use a ratcheting oil filter wrench? We use one day in and day out to change oil on all of our cars with Kooks LTs.

The K&N oil filter outflows the Mobil 1 filter, so it's the preferred filter if you drive your car hard (which I'm sure you do!) Part number for the K&N is the HP2006 for the long one.

Thanks guys. I'm tired using the screwdriver & hammer thing, lol. The K/N filter with the nut on the end sounds like a winner to me. Looks like that's what I'll be using the next time I change the oil, Fred

I'll second using the K&N long filter...the HP2006 one. It works great with my Kooks headers, and changing oil is very, very easy with one since they use a 1" nut on the end of it.
