Contact info for Shon Herron
I know this is probably "late in the game", but since I still have a running LT1, I'd like to keep it running as long as possible. Who knows, how long the plastic oil pump drive will last. Therefore, if possible, I'd like to get my hands on one of the billet LT1 oil pump drives that Herron Performance used to make. At one time, they had a website, but it doesn't work anymore.
Does anyone know how to contact Shon Herron?
TIA!

Maybe he has addressed this issue since, but a few members on here have had fitment issues with the billet drive, they had to shave a small amount of metal from around the circumference because it would not fit in the hole. Ridiculous IMO considering its price.
I'm using the oil pressure saver jaycenk posted the link about. Cheap and just as effective as the Herron piece.

It appears that once again, the seal at back of my intake manifold is seeping oil, since it's been 3-4 years since I last replaced the gaskets/RTV, so I'm going to take it apart in the near future. I thought I'd address the oil pump drive spud while I had the intake off.
Thank you!

I am still around, the website is gone, I can be contacted via PMs or Facebook or email. shonherron at hotmail.com
I have not made a new batch yet, but if there is enough interest I can get a batch made up. Need about 5 paid parties to run a batch out.
As for as fitment problems that were mentioned, as you know there are manufacturing tolerances in the blocks and the billet units, many times they fit without any questions, sometimes there is some fitment issues. Sometimes it was installation errors. In any event that was brought to my attention I suggested taking emory cloth and taking off some material. Also I gave many the option of sending them back with the specs they wanted and would cut them down.
If there are any other questions please let me know.

You mean the OE plastic one? If so, my concern was drying out, due to old age, combined with hot/cold cycling. I live in the snow belt. No, I don't drive the car in the winter, but I do start it once in a while while it's off the road, and my garage isn't heated....

Bumping this to the top, as I'd like to obtain one. Yes, I know, I should have done this sooner....and I tried to revive a thread about these parts on the Corvette Forum, but their policy is to kill threads that mention specialty parts that are sold by suppliers that aren't "forum sponsors"...
