Convertor question: TCS 2600 vs. stock Capri (police)
I am going to be honest. I don't know much about torque convertors. I have acquired two convertors while purchasing parts for my project. I am putting a cammed 5.3L/4L60e into my 69 firebird.
My question is which cam makes more sense? I have a Capri police cruiser TC and a TCS 2600. I am not going to be doing any drag racing with this car. It is mainly being build as a driver. I am leaning towards selling the TCS 2600. Am I overlooking anything?

Sorry, but TCS is rarely discussed here and even fewer people would know the characteristics of a police converter. You might ask TCS your question.
Considering that a police car spends a great deal of time cruising around town, it might even have a lower-than-stock stall speed to reduce heat build up, improve gas mileage and perhaps make it more controllable at low speeds. ET times are surely the lowest priority.
That is my opinion based on no facts at all. So, I would go with the TCS or any other quality performance converter.
