Default Lifters - Comp Pro Mag vs LS7

What's the advantages/disadvantages to each (LS7 vs Comp 875-16 Pro Magnum lifters)? I have a brand new set of Comp Pro Mags that I was given, however I'm trying to decide if I should use them or go with LS7 lifters. I will be using the factory non-adjustable rockers and doing something like a TR Torquer 3 cam and PRC dual springs. 7000RPM max.

I thought people were really liking the LS7 lifters. What's wrong with them?

As I said, I have brand new Comp pro mags. Any reason to not use these?

Ls7 lifters just cant keep up with aftermarket cam lobes and high stress loads. That have a high failure rate whether its because of install error, quality control, or just not cut out for the task.

For a factory lifter they are decent but they leave a lot to be desired.

The 875s "Comp R" are okay, but they have a very narrow preload window. They are more trouble than they are worth, but are an upgrade over the LS7s.

Bump! I'm a believer in doing it once and doing it right and I'm in the hunt for lifters. litle88 I like those lifters you showed, I assume they will fit in LS2 lifter trays? Anyone else have any preference on lifters if they wont go with LS7's????

I went with Morel 5206's from Brian Tooley. I wanted to get rid of those lifter trays.
