Default 350z ls1 swap problems

gonna try to keep it sweet and short. a friend of mine got an ls1 swapped into his 350z, it ran good for a few days after he picked it up. he had it warming up in his driveway but it was a little low on gas (walbro 255 fuel pump, doesnt like to be run low) he heard it start to stumble and die. after putting a few gallons of gas in the car it still wouldnt run right. it start but wont hold idle and wont rev past 3000-3500rpm. i found alot of vaccum leaks and thought they might be the issue. fixed them and it didnt do anything so i check to see if his knock sensors had come unplugged and noticed there were no wires for it. i pulled the intake mani off and no wires were there, pulled the rubber grommets out and the knock sensors were broken. took some sensors from my motor and the harness and plugged them in and nothing changed. i also noticed the oil pressure sensor had been plugged up so we got a new one and put it in. it still wont hold idle or rev without patting the throttle. i changed my maf, iac and tps to it with no change. someone please help me.

p.s.
it was throwing a shift/timing solenoid code

p.p.s.
engine came out of a vette
tsp 228 cam
long tube headers
stock heads
ls1 intake mani
y pipe to 3" straight pipe
t56 6spd
tuned ecu

Make sure the fuel pump didn't burn out, like you said, it doesn't like to go low.

That's where I'd start, also, post some pics of this thing! lol

My walbro died.very.quick becuase I was just trying to get my sr20 running right in the garage and didn't.have enough gas in the tank. I guess they need to be submerged for cooling otherwise they can burn up quick. Switched to.a.supra denso OEM pump and it works great. Fed my vh45 and now will.feed.my lq9 and runs/sounds like an OEM pump.

It's was the filter/fpr. Runs good now but smokes like 2 trains. Gonna rebuild it after a compression test.
