What gears do you have? If you have 2.73s or even 3.23s it'll feel alittle loose. ( my 99 came with gu2=2.73s) A set of 3.73s will tighten it up alot. It's really the only way...When installed, either increase line pressure with a tune, or install a shift kit.

2.73s are the shittiest gear ratio you can have. GMs pitch for a gas friendly ls1..I ditched mine as soon as I bought the car for 3.73s. Made a huge difference..Really woke the car up.. It "feels" like you pick up 40hp, throws your head back in your seat. Essentially your tires spin faster.
