Default Replace Bellhousing?

Hi,

I have a 2001 LS1 C5 engine (5.7) with a 2001 Suburban 4L60E gear. Now I want to mount these, but it seems I have about 1,5 - 2cm shortage. Do I need to replace the bellhousing? If so, which one can I use? Normaly there are 9 bolts, but I can only use 6.

Can anyone help me with this? I'm new with this.

Thank you
Mario

Is the torque converter seated fully? Did you change the flex plate to the one that came off the suburban? I'm not sure if there is a difference between the Corvette and truck flex plate but that could be your problem.

Also, I don't think the 4l60e has a removable bell.

At any rate, with the correct combination of parts, there is no reason the engine and trans will not work together.

It does. Maybe the trucks are different but my 98 and 99 had removable bellhousings.
