Ls1 5.3 in an 2000 sonoma help!!!!!
I been doing a ton of research on this swap.
My motor is going up in my truck. It's a 2.2l 4cyl.
I am swapping in a 5.3l with with cpw harness so my gauges work. I have about everything figured out except my ac. I see countless right ups on using the truck mounted ac and compressor and notching the frame. Seems straight forward but what ac lines can I use and condenser can I use. I was going to run cpw bracket and compressor and lines but its more than I have budget for now. I know it's worth it. I have lt1 radiator now And want to fab it in and I have the electric fans. Any help would be great.
I will be running th cpw alt bracket and truck accessories with f body pump and spacers.
Also what in tank pump can I get.

On the pump I would run the E85 2.2L pump that comes in them from GM. BLACK WIDOW ran that fuel pump over 800hp and into the deep 9s with no issues. I ran the factory 5.3L compressor and all the factory truck front brackets with a cowl hood it all fit perfect. I also made my own harness,but I went from a 4.3L to the 5.3L so I'm not sure if your wiring is different. I will post you up some pics shortly.
In fact the only part I bought that I didn't make was to motor mounts.... I did everything else my self.

Just a beware of that above mentioned forum.... Lots of attitudes there. I had over a dozen PMs from members calling BS because I finished my full swap in 8 days... Sooooo you were warned LOL.
Bought the correct fittings and line and dry mocked it up and marked everything then took it down to a local hydraulic line place and had them crimp everything. In fact all original factory options worked. Dont mind the fuse box cover missing I had the wideband on it because I was still finishing up the new tune after the last round of work was done.

I cant advise you on the fittings as I'm not sure which compressor you have. The best thing to do is take the compressor and dryer down to a hydraulic hose place and ask them.
The wheels are centerline razors and took 18 weeks to have made.....

Is this the compressor you have? Code on the side should read 10S20F or 10S17F
If it is I have all the part numbers you will need to get your AC hooked up

I ordered a 10 pack of #8, 10 and 12 o-rings as well to replace all the original o-rings on the lines. Order came to like $51+ shipping. Then head over to this site...

3 foot #12 hose
4 foot of #8 hose
That order came out to like $76 shipped. and 3 feet of hose leaves quite a bit of extra since the #12 hose just runs straight down from the accumulator to the compressor and the #8 hose runs from the compressor to the condenser, also a lot of extra on there. Could probably save some money and order both lengths shorter.
Then you just need to cut the hose to length and have the connections crimped somewhere, hydraulic shop or something. Coldhose can crimp the ends for you if you have the lengths, I'm just going to buy a crimper and do my lines myself.

About to start this conversion myself. Does the Kwik Performance A/C bracket solve the frame notching problem?

Yes, it will hit your factory coolant overflow bottle however. CPW makes a kit specifically for S10's that uses the kwik AC bracket, but comes with hoses for the S10. They also sell an aluminum overflow that clears the compressor with the Kwik bracket.
