Default injectors or pump

During tuning last Sept I was told my injectors were at 98% duty cycle and I needed bigger injectors. The car was supposed to have bigger injectors and a pump already in it but the injectors are stock. A buddy told me acouple of weeks ago to keep the stock injectors in it and just get a pump.

98 Firebird ls1
Diamond pistons
Manley rods
Gm per parts crank
572/576 cam I will have to check duration at home
Stock injectors
Stock intake
Ported and polished 241's
Long tubes

Which route should I pursue first? I guess my logic is saying injectors but if the pump wasnt sending enough fuel, does that make the duty cycle go up on the injectors?

If your pump is maintaining pressure, you need new injectors.

If the injectors are at 98%, then they're pretty much at their max. A new pump wont help with that, you need injectors no doubt.

Yeah, I could not grasp why a friend told me to get a pump first. It just didnt make much sense.
