nitrous power loss on dyno
car is an 02 z06, 44k on it.
vararam and catback removed are the only mods.
car was on the same dyno last week just to get dynoed and the nitrous graph was kinda wavy and dipping down at around 5100. i decided to go back and get a nitrous tune to see if they could get rid of it.
nx lightning solenoids, freshly rebuilt about 2 bottles ago.
n2o outlet 78mm plate
pedal wot switch
no window switch
iat resistor to pull timing
jets were 47/28
3 runs in a row the dip was the same spot and pretty much the same size. drops about 30hp, then picks back up.
no knock was detected
timing wasnt being pulled the computer
we installed a fuel pressure gauge at the solenoid, and pressure stayed between 58-62 the entire pull.
nitrous bottle started at 1000psi, would be at 925 by the end of the pull.
we also started one pull later in the rpms and the dip also happened later in the rpms. most runs started at 3200 and dipped at 5100. started a run at 4500 and the dip happened up around 6000. time log showed that the dip would happen consistently 2.5 seconds after the intital hit

na pull is the first one, are the graphs showing up?
all motor runs was dead level on the afr and power and tq curve are smooth
forgot to mention
bkr7 plugs gapped to .33
only had 20 miles on the plugs

i dont have the logs to look at. i might be able to get them tomorrow, but Roshan is going on vacation. And i doubt its something in the tune, i feel he would have picked up on it. not trying to say you're wrong, but i am confident in the tuner.

the 4th pull was off by about 1000 rpm. its 2.5 seconds after the hit. rpm seems to be irrelevant.

1st pull your timing out manually and disconnect that iat resistor to see if the same thing happens. If that doesn't resolve the problem the next thing to try would be to inspect your WOT switch and make sure something isn't happening with it during the pull. Thirdly I would check the data logs and look at your voltage through the pass. What size wire are you running to the solenoids?

i dont have hptuners so i can pull the timing myself. but last week on the dyno, i had a LNC-2000 pulling the timing and it was doing the same thing.
the switch has continuity the entire time, i just held it down for 10 seconds and no changes.
datalogs i wont be able to check for a week. i'm not sure if he looked at voltage during the pass.
would it be something noticeable enough that i would see on the DIC during a pull?
wiring is 18g, same as what is on the solenoids.
clutch is a new monster stage 3, 2500 miles at most.
was pulling 1.7s on et streets 10 days ago. still launches hard but i havent been at the track.

i can feel the power dip while driving the car on the street.
i just realized you were in jersey. its powerhaus performance. not sure if youve heard of them yet as they are still very new. but its in gloucster on rt 130, right by 42.
btw is an AWD mustang dyno

thats where i was tuned, currently wearing the shirt lol..I cant feel mine dip and Ive upped the shot since then without an issue, and Im running a very similar set up as you. How do your plugs look?

didnt pull the plugs after the dyno. but the ones i pulled out before it looked fine.

hmm, weird that the wiring coming off the solenoids is 18g, but oh well.
thanks for the idea. i'll go change out the wiring now, hopefully it works out.

If it was valve train it would be RPM consitant. if it was interferance it would be more speratic. Bad bottle sould fall of randomly or the entire run. This looks like something in the tune pulling timing like a knock sensor etc. need to see the log of the run to determine. Seeing how the a/f goes rich at the same time i think it has to be timing. 30 hp is 4 degrees or so id bet.

The tuner looked at the logs and said it pulled no timing. He's a reputable ls tuner, so I don't think he would have missed it after 3 pulls. I appreciate your help but I don't think that's it.
I just swapped solenoids and ran new wiring. Gonna go for a test drive soon.
And when he changed the timing for the nitrous, 4* being pulled while running all motor, it only dropped 10hp
