Rolled the dice, and won.
I found an ebay auction for 4 slotted rotors from a corvette salvage yard. I looked at the pics and didnt see hardly any wear, the black hats and markings were identical to the ones made by stoptech. They were used but in the pics they didnt look like they had any wear and the auction had no bids. I put in a bid of 100 and it ran the whole way through. The rotors showed up today and looks like I won. All four were just about in new condition, hardly any indication they had been used. No wear on the rotor surface, barely any markings at all. Compared the markings to the stoptechs online and they look legit. Ill know for sure once I put them on, but there's not much chance they would be warped either in the condition they are in. I might have got lucky on this one. My rear hats had got so rusty I was going to buy a new rear set soon anyway, but at 100+ a piece, this may have worked out.
