Black chrome painted 17"s
Earlier this spring I painted my stock wheels (rears widened to 9") with Innovate hyper back chrome paint. I two toned them by painting them first a 2K gloss black (necessary for the hyper black) and then taped off areas I wanted to remain black. My purpose was to narrow the appearance of the spokes and also the outer rims of the wheels. Then I applied the hyper black chrome and followed with 3 coats of 2K clear coat as I think wheels get subjected to a lot of abuse. I'm very happy with the results. The "color" of the BC changes with angle going from a chrome to gray to almost black.

FWIW the car sits a little lower than the picture shows. After having her up on jack stands for a week it took a drive to settle her back to the normal ride height.

Sorry it took so long. I wanted to get a pic in the sunlight and it's been raining for a week. Finally had a chance to pull her out between showers to get a close up. The wheels are a little dirty and I selected the angle so you could see the chroming better. At some angles it looks dark grey. These also are a slighly matte finish as I went overboard and put 3 coats of 2K clear coat on them. They can also be made extremely reflective (but then you're going to see every flaw too).
No one that I saw who made black chrome paint claimed it to be high temp but I did see that this one was good for 200*. I think it should work for everything but on the metal of he engine or radiator itself. I plan on "chroming" a few parts.
