2005 CTS-V modded
might consider buying my friends V off of him, its a black 05 with 35,000 on it. Tan interior. Garage kept, no accidents. Has a few mods:
fast 92/92
kooks headers
HF cats
Corsa catback
Volant CAI
236/242 114 cam with springs and PR's
Anti wheel hop axles
Katech LS9R clutch ($1,400)
Newer bfg g-force tires
dyno tuned
plastidipped stock wheels
Probably some more things that im not remembering
will work on getting pics but its a very nice car, washed and waxed regularly. What would do you guys think would be a good price to start at negotiating?

While the mileage is nice and low, the mods negate the value for many buyers. Don't let the seller hold this over your head. $17,000 - $18,000 sounds more than fair if the car is really something you want. Clean title and no Carfax issues are a must at that price.

I personally dont like the idea of a cammed out V either, my intentions would be to put the stock cam back in or similar and leave the bolt-on stuff. Without haggling the price, just brief mentioning of it, he's at $20,000.. so i think a serious $18,000 would be do-able. A bone stock 2005 with 18,000 miles on it local to me just sold for $22000 so that should be a good ball-park.

It certainly sounds like you could get the deal done.
Having that other price example is a huge plus in your negotiations if you can show that to him. His modded car has double the mileage so he better not think it is just $2,000 less. Best of luck!
