Two-Tone paint anyone?
Any Black V's been two-toned (or any V for that matter)? The lower portions of my V's paint are pretty beat up from highway miles. Obviously I could have the Black blended or completely resprayed. But if im doing it why not consider all options? Slightly considering two-tone from the body molding down or just above the fender openings or somewhere?
Maybe im just Smokin' crack? Who knows? Thoughts?

I agree, the darker color goes on the bottom and trucks are a better fit. But doesn't hurt to consider options.
Kinda just killing time and thinking out loud while I count down the days till I actually see the car that I have owned for almost 6 months. 27 days to go!
I will probably go with a black refresh if anything.

+2 for no two tone. These cars are rare and should be (appearance wise) left alone. Op get a fresh repaint factory black and you will be very happy and still classy. The ultimate choice is yours bc it is both your car and money, but its my .02

I have an individual i know who wants to put 22's up front and 24's on rear on a C6 corvette. Im pleading with him to not destroy this car by doing this but he was quick to point out its his money and car. I told him if he did that id probably sell mine (C6) lol.

OK, No Two Tone
Moving on...Is it just me or does the thought of having your car resprayed sorta terrify you to? I would really like to get all the rock chips taken care of and have the paint look new again. But dread thinking of all the things that could go wrong or are side effects of a respray. examples could be, over spray everywhere particularly in door jambs and under hood, Orange peal, Runs, dirt in paint and, uneven coverage.
Obviously some of it has to do with how much you spend. But spending more doesn't necessarily mean it will be right.
So what should a decent auto body shop charge for a respray. I know Maaco offers them as low as several hundred dollars. Thats obviously not what I would do. I also know that a custom shop could charge many, many thousands. So whats the happy medium. Lets face it, this is a Daily Driven 8 year old car worth probably less than 20K.
