Shipping a gas tank - weight and dimensions
Has anyone shipped a gas tank? I know they've been sold, but were they local sales or were they shipped?
What's the best way, and legal way to ship them? It's coming out of a 2001 T/A so I assume it's plastic.
Does anyone know the weight and dimensions of the tanks?
Thanks!

I have no experience shipping a gas tank but I did ship a welded catback exhaust not to long ago using greyhound direct xpress shipping. If you have a bus depot close itd prob save you some cash.

Clean/wash it out very good soo that the fuel odor wont be too bad and let it dry very good, put it in a big trash bag, then put it in a box. Take it to the UPS or FEDEX shipping store or wherever you would like to ship it through and just dont tell them thats its a used fuel tank . My next door neighbor has done it a couple of times and another guy down my street has done it also. I dont know how much is the cost to ship them (depends on size and weight of box) but im sure it will be pricey due to the big size of the box. Other than thag idk how else you can ship a used fuel tank.
