We need a ton more info to give an opinion. Car weight, trans, gears, motor mods ,vacuum needs etc..... Cams are all over the board on your list. Make sure you know exactly what YOU want the car to do. I would call one more place for a recommendation as well. Call Tim at Bullet Racing Cams to round out your choices. Good luck and MORE INFO, lol.

The car is a 1970 Camaro (3500lb ?) 6 speed, 4.10 gears, no vacuum needs, LQ4 with ls6 intake...headers...polished TB...cold air kit...thats about it. I have no injtention of racing, just want a good performing cam that has good driving manners. I currently have the MS4 cam and I HATE it when leaving a stop....it chugs and bucks unless I slip the clutch or tach to 1500 rpm to start.

I have a 72 Camaro that I just had a cam ground for, and like you, wanted a mild grind for the street. Im running an LS3 w a 2004R auto and 3.42 gears, so my cam needs are different than your are. The important thing is to let the grinder know EXACTLY what you want out of your car.
The cam in mine is great and does what I wanted, which was great vacuum for my big brakes, a noticeable idle, and strong low and mid range power. I also needed a cam stable enough not to stall at a redlight when the AC kicks on. Because the grinder listened to what I wanted and didn't just go straight for max power, Im a very happy customer.
I built my car for cruising, light autocross and a trip to the dragstrip every once in a while and am happy to say the car does better than I thought it would. Good Luck with your cam selection and I personally would go with one of the grinds on the smaller side, if you go with one on the list.

That couldn't have been explained any better!
If you want peace of mind, knowing that you are getting exactly what you want and need, then do yourself a favor and contact Pat G and have him spec a cam for you
That is what I did and just received my custom grind cam from Geoff @ EPS
And I know it will do exactly what I want
keep in mind that a correctly "spec'd cam, even with "lower m=numbers, but less overlap, can produce solid hp/tq numbers, similar to "larger" cams cams with more overlap, which is more "work" in getting it tuned properly

If you do a search almost any of these forums for "Pat G" you will see that he is one of the best for spec'ing a custom cam. based on actual vehicle, engine & mods as well as intended use
here is a link to his website:

Pat can give you spec's for either a Comp Cams grind (and lobes) or a EPS grind
I got both cam specs from him for my 6.0L w/ a LS3 top end build, I choose to go with the EPS grind cam & core, Geoff @ EPS is great to deal with, also bought the correct length pushrods from him also
