Need some advice here. I have very low milage parts from a L96 and I would like to knoe if I can use them on my LQ4 engine (timing chin, oil pump and lifters)?
I know you can't use the oil pump because its a higher volume pump for the DOD stuff. I remember reading that around here somewhere.
I had seen that people looks for high vol and high pressure oil pumps; whats the difference? Still with the same doubts about the chain, oil pump and lifters.
Timing chain and oil pump should work fine but if the chain has more the 40,000 miles on it the I would replace
As for lifters most of all are using LS7 lifters

Thanks for the info. Would like to hear more of your experiences and knowledge.
One friend said that can't use the oil pump, other said that can use it, so????? yes or no?
Here comes a again. Read somewhere that can't use the L92 oil pump (high volume) from a L92 on my LQ4 with F-body oilpan because the pan was shallow and may starvs. Someone knows for sure?
