My 2002 was built in August of 2001.

This information can be found on a sticker on the driver's door jamb in MM/YY format.
If that sticker is not present, and/or you would like the exact build date, you'll need to run your VIN through the GM VIS program (at a dealer), or a similar service offered by sources such as Compnine.com.
