Default Need help identifying ticking noise....

Ok so before anyone comes and says "dude just search it, there's plenty of posts about this" I have.... I've come up with many possibilities to my problem but not quite sure. Ok so WHENEVER my car is on, it ticks. Idle, revving, All of it 24/7. I've heard it could be pushrods, exhaust leaks, lifters, rockers, and all sorts of things. Has anyone had any similar experience to this? I'm plannin on getting heads and cam soon and didn't know of it could fix it or not.

If you're doing heads and cam soon, then yes, it's very possible it could fix the problem. That is, if you replace the lifters while you're in there. I could be any of the issues you listed. If it's a pushrod, then you will probably be changing them out with the cam swap. Rockers will have to come off as well. However, if it's a spun bearing (normally a knock) or a bent rod, then you would have to dig a little deeper. Either way, don't wait too long to figure it out.
