Default Trouble getting into 1st gear (t56, z28,2000)

Sometimes it slips right in, but at other times it completely refuses to go in. There is also a bit of grinding ,but its rareCould it be the syncros ? Or air on the hydraulic system ?

very typical problem. you need to start by bleeding the hydraulics. sticky's are at the top of the main transmission section page

Bleed it is and when you think it's good bleed it more, I had a hard to shift issue that seems to be fixed by bleeding the living hell out of it. Knock on wood...

Theres a sticky in the top of the manual trans section about bleeding the tick master, I followed those steps on my stock master and it seems to have worked well.

Yeah, I had this problem a few years ago when I let the reservoir run dry by mistake. When it refuses to go in first, try pumping the pedal 5 or so time while in neutral and then see if it will go in first. If so, it's hydraulic issue. I picked up a motive power bleeder and pressure bled from the top - great and inexpensive tool to bleed/flush brakes and clutch...

Changing the cluch fluid didn't do the trick. I believe it's going to be the syncros because it only gives me trouble in 1st and 3rd . Sometime it grinds in third at high rpm's. is this a good way of releasing air from the hydraulic system and would it help in any way --->
