2nd gear doesnt go in any help Just bought a 97 trans am but 2nd gear goes in but it doesn't move just the rpm shoot up the other gears go in perfect tho. What could it b ?

There is no transmission of torque so there is no connection of the synchro sleeve to the gear clutch teeth. Since you have 1st, the sleeve is not broken. I think the sleeve-to-clutch teeth interface on 2ND is so worn that there is no connection. However, this is just a guess.

I took apart a 99-02 Camaro unit yesterday. The 2nd gear teeth were broken right off. It was the second version (there are 3.)
