Quarter times
Hey fellas, went to the track last night. Not the best prep on a Wednesday but I managed to pull 13.68 with my mods in sig. I think if the car was set up for traction it would shave off 3 or 4 tenths, it's set up for autocross with strano bars, koni shocks an kumho XS tires. If I got gears and slicks think I could pull 13 flat on a good day? Course I know the rear would be in question at that point.
My 60' was 2.18s.
Is this a decent time for my setup? Any thoughts would e appreciated thanks!

how were you launching? did you have gears done then? manual or auto? I launched at 3500rpm to pull the 2.18 60' but thats on kumho XS tires which are my autocross tires.

That was stock rear stock suspension 3.42s and an m6. Launching was pretty much using the torque to pull you out, like 2000rpm and bogging the motor on launch to save the 10 bolt. I was cutting the same 60' on sumitomos, the MTs were more to provide cushion to the delicate 10 bolt. Burnout with the street tires should always be go AROUND the water, then a quick 3 second burnout in 1st gear to clean the tires off.

What track did you go to?
60' needs work. Also don't forget to mention how insanely hot and humid its been here in Ontario the past week. That has a big effect on our cars. My car feels so sluggish on days like that, I don't even bother driving it lol.

thanks! yah thats what I thought, I think I just need to practice my 60' more and improve there. it was the first time I've been to the quarter in over a year and the first time since doing anything significant to the car.
