Default Can I run 110 leaded in the V?

First track day with the V and have heard that running a mix of 93 and race gas can do a motor good. However, the pump at the track this weekend only has 110 leaded left. So after a quick search the verdict is split, so I figured Id ask here. I have no cats so nothing hurting there, just worried about 02 sensors and injectors. If I can how much mixed in? Thanks!

I run a 50/50 mix of that and 93 octane and up the timing 4 degrees.

Not worth it unless its pulling timing.

Yea but it sure would be sweet if it was tuned for it.

If your not going to add timing there is nothing to gain. But at the same time it will not hurt the car other been a little hard on the o2 sensors

Yup.

All octane does is resist spark knock. If you don't already have spark knock, it adds nothing to your car by increasing it.

In the old days, spark plugs would gradually get fouled up with leaded fuel requiring them to be changed. Run enough leaded fuel in a V, and I'd bet the same thing would happen to yours.

Running a few gallons of leaded fuel won't hurt nothing.

^^^hahaha.

If it's really hot outside and you're worried about detonation then by all means put some in without adding timing. If it gives you peace of mind then go for it.

I wouldn't do it personally. It'll kill your o2's and it cost too much for something you won't gain anything with.

it will hurt your cats and o2's... the lead coats everything and in the cats case over heats, melts and clogs em. it also coats the o2's and tends to shock the sensor..o2's tend to last quite a bit longer than the cats and all this also depends on how much of the stuff you run

haha well then my bad old man. Hey hold down ctrl and then scroll you mouse dial in, see if that help!

For everyone else I decided against it for the reason of possibly cloggin my o2's. That and there really is no purpose to run it. I did however buy some 100 unleaded for the next track day in hopes that it will clean up some internals in my 100k ls6. Mainly just built up carbon (if there is any). And if it wont do that atleast I will enjoy the smell!
