what to adj. 98 to 99+ fuel tables to get fuel gauge to read correctly?
I checked and searched on both LS1tech and HPTuners to no avail on what to change in the Fuel Tables to get my fuel gauge on my dash to read correctly. I already have the chevy van fuel segment updated already however I was told I would need to adjust the Fuel Tables to full complete the process. I already know that the 98’s have a 15.5gal steel tank compared to the 99+ w/plastic tanks and 16.6gal but the other tables im uncertain about are the PWM gauge output and the primary and secondary volume tables. The 98s had 0-90iirc whereas the 01-02 411 pcms has 0-250 and values starting at 40-250? Does anyone have a hpt file I may use as reference please?

98's have 40 - 240 ohm sensors just like 99 and newer ones do, just like the 2002 express van does, otherwise the fuel gauge wouldn't work at all even with the correct table values

You have to have EFI-Live to do this yourself. I think some people with HP-Tuners have had to send file to HP and have them do the segment swap. Other than that find a buddy with EFI

yea i had ShorTuning do the fuel segment tables before i licensed it with HP Tuners. i actually posted this on hptuners and a couple members helped me figure out what fuel tables to adjust to get the fuel gauge on the 98 dash read more accurately. any other 98 members just look for my username on hp tuners and they'll be able to get a copy of my hpt file to use as reference as well as adjusting 42.5# injectors using the GTP/L67 injectors and other stuff.

I have done it this way. empty your fuel take. Open the 02 file, compare it to your 98 file and copy over the fuel settings. That will get it close. Load the new file. Then insert the fuel sending unit, turn on the key to see what the gage reads. Adjust the low level numbers on the fuel level slope to make it read empty. Then fill the tank to the top and repeat.

I was just googling for the actual resistance value at full or empty of the oe sensor. Didn't realize it was from 13💀🤦♂️ either way I also have the values to make it work with a 95 ohm sensor, or essentially and sensor less than stock value. Wrote a script where you just input high and low resistance and it will print out the list of pwm %s from 0 to 100 if any1 ever needs it😂
