Default Cam positioning sensor P0341 code Help Please!!!

I have a Porsche 944 with a 2009 LS3/ 2002 ls1 computer/24x reluctor wheel/ LS2 cam...

I switched out the sensor after getting the code, and I am still getting it.
I've heard of the A and C wires needing to be switched. Do I have to? I appreciate any help.

Are you using a cam sensor harness extension? If so, check the wires to make sure they were crossed when it was wired. That was a problem a couple of years ago, but most all of the people that build them now know to cross them.

Are you talking about the piggy back that brings it down to the bottom of the motor? No I don't have that, but we did have to extend the wires themselves because the original was to short.

What cam gear? As you need a 1x cam gear from a 2005 LS2 or equivalent.

From what I understand, without the factory "stub" harness, the wires need to be crossed and a resistor needs to be run between the two outer wires. There's more info in the carb section on this, and on MSD's forum. Also be sure you have the flat front cover and NOT the one for VVT, as it spaces the cam sensor too far away from the standard cam gear.

So I've seen a bunch of threads on this now. So I crossed the wires without the resistor and now its giving me a high voltage code instead of the low voltage code. So tonight I'm going to throw a resistor in there and hopefully that takes care of it. I did also confirm its a flat front cover and not the VVT.

Okay so I installed the resistor. And it's still getting the code. So my next question is do I have to use an LS3 sensor or an LS2 sensor?
I have an LS3 block with an LS2 crank and cam. Computer is ls1. I currently have an ls2 sensor in it now and doesn't seem to be working out.
