Do not read this story I used to own v6 6 speed Accord. It was okay... Got good gas mileage, was nice, reliable, and decently quick.
Here's a race against protuned stage 2 wrx.
Also hurt some feelings of an sti owner and s2000 owner
Best time at the track was 14.0 @ 102 mph with 2.4 60 foot. The car sucked at the track but beat faster et cars at the track from a roll, was a real sleeper loved it. But decided it was time to upgrade... So I found myself this car.
It was a 6 speed and previously had nitrous. PO said it had not been sprayed or taken to the track... But I disagree. It had been beat to hell and leaked quart of oil on driveway almost everyday.
It had a 230/230 with 114 lsa cam, full bolt ons. Stock 10 bolt but adjustable rear suspension... It also had 2.73 gears. He said it was swapped out for fuel economy, but im just thinking he grenaded the 10 bolt and was lazy?
It was fun!
Put down 419 whp
And ate a 5.0 the night something unexpected happened.
Previous owner also lied about not only previous history of the engine being sprayed and beaten on, but also owing well more then asking price. His car was up for repo and had a lien on it. So they took it away.... Which I was glad for.
So decided I needed to start from scratch, build my own not take a chance on someone else's crap.
Bought it July 4th. 2002 z28 auto 1 owner.
Cat delete and programmer so far, LID and Magnaflow catback are on but not installed. Lady pulled out in front of me week after I bought it and it's in the shop. Going with sunoco vfn hood....
Only raced 2 people in it.
Full bolt on 6 speed lt1 on 100 shot!
