Someone ID this part
This has probably already been explained on here...but I don't know what to call this part to search...???
See them all the time on the rear of the driver side fuel rail on truck engines.
It bolts to the rear of the cyl head.
What is it, and exactly what is it's purpose???

Yup, slap one on the front opposite side, drill holes through them and add your chain.

These have always been in the back of my mind also...but...Ls1nova's question sort of cancels out the first...
So no one really knows for sure...100%???
(GM wouldn't have put them on there if they didn't serve a legitimate purpose.)
